OKTOBERFEST IN ADDISON TEXAS
If you want to enjoy a great day outside ,listen to some authinic German bands, yodeling, dancing and some great food and beverages then set aside a weekend in September for the OKTOBERFEST in Addison Texas.
"Why" you ask is the OKTOBERFEST in September? So that the authintic German bands can perform in Addison and still make it back to Germany for the German celebration.
The day starts with a 5k run to benifit Wipe out Kids Cancer that gets you free admission into the festival then the festival opens at 12:00 for a day of fun.
Something for all ages from a petting zoo and rides for the kids, arts and krafts to wander through, wein garden of German wines and don't forget to get your beir stein to take home. Taste all the authinic foods from Germany in the food pavillion.
Join the Town of Addison as they try to SHATTER the World Record for the Largest Simultaneous Yodel during the Festival.
